For Oasmia Human Health the main task is development of new drugs for which there is a comprehensive medical need. We focus on efficacy, safety and an improved quality of life.
A highly prioritized field is cancer which is one of our most common diseases. According to WHO, 11 million people are diagnosed with cancer every year. Oasmia Human Health is therefore developing new drugs based on existing well documented agents. The new drug candidates will both simplify and expand alternatives, in combination with an improved side-effect profile.
Oasmia's product candidate Paclical® is currently in phase III clinical trials for treatment of ovarian cancer. The active substance in Paclical® is paclitaxel, which is one of the most used cytostatics in the world.
Three other promising product candidates are planned to enter clinical phase I shortly.
